4 Virtual Mother’s Day Celebration Ideas

Profile

Mother’s Day is coming up soon and if you are wondering how to virtually celebrate with your own mom–or how your no-longer-living-in-your-house children can celebrate YOU–we found some great ideas from O Magazine.

Virtually Bake (or Cook) Together
Pick a recipe together, prop up your iPad, and have a virtual baking session. You can also ship her ingredients from a food kit app (Blue Apron, Hello Fresh, etc.).  You can even throw a virtual happy hour together and ship drink ingredients ahead of time through platforms like Drizly.

Send a Box of Love
From self-care baskets filled with relaxing goodies like bath bombs, teas and cozy socks to do-it-yourself party celebrations with cards, pretty succulents and even a cake (cakes in jars are awesome–get ideas here)) you can fill a box with all of your mom’s favorite things to make her instantly feel loved.  Schedule a video call for when she opens up the fun!

Spend Time Together
With platforms like Netflix Party, you can watch a movie with mom in real-time and even chat about your favorite scenes. Or, create your own memory jars, FaceTiming each other as you write your memories on slips of papers to put in your jar.

Be Thoughtful
Consider making a donation in your mother’s name to her favorite charity or, if you live close enough, decorate her front door with a pretty wreath or fresh flowers.
