This event is the kickoff to the DuPage County Toys for Tots season and recognized by the foundation as a significant contributor to their overall goals. Last year, with the help of our generous community, our event collected more than 300 toys and raised $7,500 to purchase hundreds of new toys for underprivileged children in DuPage!
I hope you will consider joining us at our fun cocktail party to collect toys and raise money to support DuPage County Toys for Tots in providing hope to the economically disadvantaged children at Christmastime.
It is with the support of individuals like you that help DuPage County Toys for Tots fulfill their motto:
EVERY CHILD DESERVES A LITTLE CHRISTMAS!!!
About Toys for Tots:
Last year, DuPage County Toys for Tots provided toys to more than 27,000 children in our community on Christmas morning! Unfortunately, each year, our community’s needs are far greater than the number of toys collected. But with your help, our event will provide a significant amount of the funds to purchase toys for these children at Christmastime.
The mission of the Toys for Tots Foundation is to assist the U.S. Marine Corps in providing a tangible sign of hope to economically disadvantaged children at Christmas. The success of our program relies on volunteer support and community involvement. Toy distribution normally takes place throughout the month of December. Members of the community drop new, unwrapped toys in collection boxes positioned in local businesses. Coordinators and their team of dedicated volunteers pick up these toys and store them at our donated storage facility, where the toys are sorted by age and gender. At Christmas, Marine Corps League members, volunteers, local social welfare agencies, church groups, and other local community agencies distribute these toys to the needy children of our community.
