Free STEM Event

May 11, 2019

1:00 pm - 2:30 pm

CodeForce 5 W. Washington Street, Oswego

As part of our “Give Back” initiative, we are offering free STEM/STEAM events each month, beginning in May. We are committed to introducing our students, and our community, to projects that span each area of STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Mathematics).

This month, we will focus on engineering, specifically, electrical engineering.

About the Project

Students use potatoes to light an LED bulb as they learn how a battery works in a simple circuit and how chemical energy changes to electrical energy. As they learn more about electrical energy, they better understand the concepts of voltage, current and resistance.
