INDIAN ROCKS BEACH

BEACH FEATURES |The main attraction, of course, is the lengthy stretch of beach that skirts these barrier island communities. If you’re not staying at one of the many beachfront condominiums where you can walk right out onto the sand, there are plenty of parking areas and beach accesses available. The beach is long, and borders other barrier island beach towns, so it’s easy to walk for miles looking for shells in the sand and dolphins in the surf.

FORT DE SOTO PARK BEACH

BEACH FEATURES | Whether you are sitting on the beach or kayaking near the still water’s edge at Fort De Soto, you find yourself absorbed in the abundance of natural beauty as far as the eye can see. The complexity of the ecology is not immediately apparent, but the park offers the greatest diversity of systems just about anywhere. Emerging from the wealth of bird life, sea life, wildlife and plant life is the majestic tapestry called Fort De Soto.

FRED HOWARD PARK BEACH

BEACH FEATURES |Fred Howard Park is 155 acres of park and beach located off the Gulf of Mexico in Tarpon Springs. There is a 1-mile causeway from the park to the white sandy beach for swimming and sunsets. This park provides homes to wildlife including eagles, gopher tortoises and fox squirrels.

BEACH FEATURES | If you’ve ever dreamt of exploring your very own deserted island, a day trip to Egmont Key State Park may just be just the ticket.  Boaters love to gather in the gentle, crystal-clear waters off Egmont Key for a day of swimming, sunning and wildlife-spotting.  With its crystal-clear waters, miles of white sand beaches, diverse wildlife and interesting history, this National Wildlife Refuge is a true escape.

MADEIRA BEACH

BEACH FEATURES | Lay of the Land: Known by locals as "Mad Beach," this is a fun but laid-back city offering cozy motels and condo rentals with nearby recreation options. The epicenter of Madeira Beach is John's Pass Fishing Village where visitors can find it all: shops, restaurants, boating, fishing, wave runners and even a ghost tour!

Little Known Facts: Madeira Beach is home to one of the largest fishing fleets in Florida, and you can have a fishing adventure of your own with any of the day-charter boats that dock here, too.

HONEYMOON ISLAND STATE PARK BEACH

BEACH FEATURES | Visitors will find four miles of unspoiled white-sand beach lapped by clear, calm Gulf water. Honeymoon Island State Park has showers, restrooms, a café that serves food and drinks, including alcoholic beverages, and a concession that rents bicycles, kayaks, beach chairs and umbrellas.

For a break from the beach, visitors can explore miles of paved pathways and a 2.5-mile inland nature trail that passes through a virgin slash pine forest. A picnic area near the north end of the island includes two covered pavilions, picnic tables, barbecue grills and restrooms. A playground is nearby. The pavilions are available on a first-come, first-served basis.

BEACH FEATURES |  The beach is the stunning centerpiece here, with sugary sands and emerald waters that are just steps from hotels and restaurants. Rent a shaded cabana for the day – all you need to do is settle in and an attendant will come by. For a low-key beach day, walk to the north, where the crowds thin out some. No matter what spot you choose, you’ll always find plenty of amenities close by – including a large playground the kids will love right at the base of Pier 60.

SUNSET BEACH

BEACH FEATURES | Lay of the Land: Sunset Beach, located on the southern tip of Treasure Island, is a beach lover's community straight out of a Buffett song. This neighborhood welcomes guests of all lifestyles with open arms and is especially popular with the local LGBT community. On Sunset Beach you will find uniquely decorated houses, tiki huts, white sands and beachfront bars where bohemian attitudes prevail. Showers and shaded pavilion with vending machines are also available. Little Known Facts: Sunset Beach was once a separate town. It was annexed into Treasure Island in 1955.
